Alexa’s Picks
What were the first things you invested in from this season’s collections?
I bought the orange shoes by Prada (I also loved them in turquoise), and I adored the Carven cream blazer — very Bianca Jagger.
Whose SS11 catwalk spoke loudest to you and why?
Valentino was a favourite, because it was so feminine, but also fun and understated. It was a classy collection, incredibly elegant and wearable.
Which 1970s chick are you?
I do love Lauren Hutton, and Annie Hall, the character from the Woody Allen film. They both had that masculine-cool way of dressing going on.
What will be in your festival dressing-up box this summer?
Less dressing-up box, more bag with holes in it. Probably a Barbour, my Superga sneakers, some black jeans for night time when it gets cold and a hat to cover my unwashed hair.
Where will you be going on holiday this year?
I’d love to go to Parrot Cay in the Turks & Caicos.
Bikini or one-piece?
I’m indifferent. I usually go for vintage-inspired swimwear by Boden.
What fragrance are you currently wearing?
Lacoste Joy of Pink or Rose 31 by Le Labo. I alternate or mix.
What hair product can’t you live without?
I like Kérastase shampoo and conditioner. And dry shampoo is great.
What’s your summer party tipple?
Pimm’s.
What hobby do you wish you had more time for this summer?
Horse-riding, please.
